Final coat of the Satin/Matt finish for way more grip going on today, then needs 2 days curing time for best results. Crew coming in Monday to reassemble furniture.

Here are pictures as they applied the epoxy colours we chose. They need cure time; hopefully Wednesday they will apply logo and dart lines and a protective clear coat. Depending of curing and look, a second coat may need application Thursday.
Feb 24
The foundation for the new epoxy floor has been completed. Now it’ll sit a few days awaiting the the epoxy colour we chose, to arrive. At that point they will apply the epoxy colouring we chose before applying the logo and dart lines for the final clear coat epoxy for the finish and protection.

Feb 19 First coat on – CLUBHOUSE CLOSED
Members – the clubhouse is CLOSED. Now that they have started putting down sealer coats to build up in preparation for the final coats it is extremely important that people not enter the building.
The first coat of sealer is done.

Over the past five years, the club has been making terrific progress in its renewal process completing many projects including the breezeway, exceptional improvements to the main washroom facilities, installing a fireplace and many other elements to make THSC a vibrant home for members and guests.
Two fundamental steps are currently underway: re-siding and improving the exterior and re-flooring the main club space. (Several other projects are also in the works, but more about that later.)
The Reflooring Project
After 40+ years of normal heavy traffic, awards galas, Sailpast fiestas, dartboard pacing, and annual children’s Santa parties et cetera, it’s time for a much-needed refresh.
The combination of parquet and marmoleum can only take so much and you can see from these photos the age is definitely showing. The brand new floor is being professionally installed beginning on February 9 continuing to roughly February 16. The clubhouse will be closed during this period to allow the work to be completed safely and efficiently. The work entails the removal and replacement of flooring from the south washrooms to the front foyer. Kitchen areas and bathrooms are excluded
Next step: installation of a single, consistent epoxy flooring throughout the updated areas. And yes, the TH&SC logo will be reinstalled in its original location.
