
Last night’s Award gala packed the club for an evening Caribbean Cruise-themed and -costumed fun and tables full of prize winners. The atmosphere was humming as the racing, cruising and ‘just sailing’ members and guests shmoozed and laughed.

Starting off with an acknowledgement of the terrific summer we just wrapped up from Past Comm Glen Eddie, the room first recognized major club contribution honours over a dinner of chicken, rice and peas and other delectables.

The entertainment included Caribbean pan and light performers and a magic show from the decidedly not-Caribbean Dimitri.

Perhaps the most coveted Award, The Silver Spatula was awarded four a fourth time to D-Dock, understatedly accepted from Fleet Captain Pelkey by key chef Glen Eddie

Cruise Captain Michael Smith honoured cruising accomplishments, then Rear Commodore Paul Lewis and Fleet Captain Bryan Pelkey ran through the racing awards.

The many trophies and flags signified placings in the THSC Wednesday and weekend programs as well as additional hardware for inter-club events.With many winners and fans onboard, the evening proved to be one of the most delightfully raucous in years.
